Simon Marks Jewish Primary School is a voluntary-aided school based in Hackney, London. The school is a one form entry school with a capacity for 30 pupils in each year group . Simon Marks has a recently furnished and upgraded Early Years unit.
The school offers an integrated curriculum, where Jewish studies not only happens during Jewish studies times but throughout the school day. Every opportunity is taken to enrich pupils knowledge and understanding about every aspect of Jewish life and faith. Religious education is provided in accordance with orthodox Jewish teachings from a modern orthodox perspective. It aims to instil in its pupils an understanding, love and respect for the Jewish religion, a knowledge of Jewish history, a love of their heritage and respect for Jewish traditional Torah values.
The schools last OFSTED (July 2017) result graded the school as ‘Good’ and the school is now on its journey to outstanding.
